The Arab follow up committee to meet in October
Regional, Politics, 9/21/2001
The secretary general of the Arab League (AL) Amr Moussa has announced that he has been making consultations with the Arab foreign ministers to discuss the request submitted by certain Arab states to convene an emergency meeting for the Arab foreign ministers in order to discuss current international developments.
Moussa said on Thursday that these consultations have not reached a decision whether such a meeting will be held or not. He attributed that to the fact that there is no American proposal for an issue that all Arab countries have to take a decision regarding it.
Moussa, on the other, stressed that the Arab follow up and move committee will hold a meeting at the level of the foreign ministers, of its member states in Syria in October.
On that there is an American threat to certain Arab countries, Moussa said that the American accusation is only directed to Afghanistan and there is no American accusation to any Arab state and what has been stated of accusations is only in the mass media.
