Maher denies meeting secrelty with Peres

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Maher denied a press report that he had secretly met with Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres in Cyprus on August 31. "There is no need for holding secret meetings with the Foreign Minister of a country we have diplomatic relations with," he said.
Local Al Akhbar of Wednesday quoted a western news agency as reporting that the two foreign ministers had met secretary in Cyprus.
