Egypt calls for combatting terrorism under world legitimacy

An Egyptian Official has said that Egypt calls for combatting terrorism guided by the rules of international legitimacy. "Terrorist acts in New York and Washington were categorically rejected and unacceptable to any religion. But the causes behind such acts should be taken into account when speaking about confronting them and eliminating reasons for their spread," Osama El-Baz, President Hosni Mubarak's political advisor, told China's News Agency Xinhua.
On a US call for a world anti-terrorism coalition, El-Baz quoted President Mubarak's recent warning that such an alliance could split the world.
Mubarak has called for an international UN-sponsored conference against terrorism.
