Hamas, Islamic Jihad refuse to cease fire
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 9/20/2001

The two Palestinian national resistance movements al-Jihad al-Islamic and Hamas have announced that the Palestinians refuse ceasing fire with Israel as far as Israel's occupation of the Arab territories continue.

One of the Hamas leaders Abdul Aziz al-Ranteisi said it is not reasonable that the Palestinians have to observe cease fire while the Israeli army continues to bombard the Palestinian villages, cities and camps.

On the other hand, one of the Islamic Jihad movement leaders in Gaza Abdullah al-Shami said that his government agrees to halt the operations against civilians if Israel abides by halting acts of assassination and aggressions against the Palestinians civilians, but noted that his government will continue resisting the Israeli soldiers and settlers.
