Syria is ready to ally with the US, but under conditions

Damascus has informed the American administration that it is ready to join the international alliance which stands against terrorism the US is trying to form, for several political conditions which Syria considers as very important and can not be escaped, according to the Algerian daily al-Khabar ( the news).

The paper added in its Wednesday's issue under a main title in its front page " Syrian- Iranian readiness to ally with the US against terrorism, quoting well-informed Syrian sources as saying that among Syria's main conditions is the need to make a distinction between terrorism and resistance which is considered a legitimate right for all countries and people in confronting the occupation and aggression, noting that Syria wants through this concept to exclude the Lebanese Hizbullah party and certain Palestinian groups which take Damascus as a permanent residence, from the circle of the direct activity to be carried out by the international coalition on fighting terrorism.

The well-informed Syrian sources added that Syria wants from the US to make more pressures on Israel to halt its continued aggressions against the Palestinian people and to work for resuming peace negotiations on all tracks and this stems from the conception that keeping the Middle East crisis unsolved would be one of the main elements which will create instability at the regional level.

Replying to a question on Syria's stand towards the memorandum submitted by the US state department which includes seven points, the Syrian sources explained that these points implies many contradictions.
