New Libyan- Egyptian memorandum for the Sudanese sides

Both Libya and Egypt have handed over a new memorandum to the Sudanese sides pertinent to the two countries' joint initiative to achieve national reconciliation.

The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael was handed over the memorandum on behalf of his government, while the same memorandum was received in Cairo by the leader of the al-Ummah party al-Sadeq al-Mahdi and also by the chairman of the opposition democratic coalition led by Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani.

The director of Sudan department at the Egyptian foreign ministry Rafiq al-Khalil said that the memorandum aims at briefing the Sudanese sides on certain procedural measures in preparation to convene the Sudanese national dialogue meeting, adding that the two countries's initiative (Libya and Egypt) are waiting to receive answers to the memorandum, hoping the answers to be positive.

To this effect al-Meirghani said that the memorandum has come in the due time and that his coalition will study it carefully and it will be circulated on all coalition groups, noting that the atmosphere is optimum for a serious world that can end the sufferings of the Sudanese people and solving their problems.
