Spanish socialist party urges head of government to resume direct talks with Morocco

Secretary general of the Spanish socialist Labor party (PSOE/opposition), Jose Luis Rodriguez, has called head of the Spanish government, Jose Maria Aznar to visit Morocco to resume dialogue with the kingdom.

Zapatera renewed the call he has repeatedly issued, considering that Spain have a leading role in these difficult in international relations following last Tuesday's attacks against New York and Washington.

The PSOE leader said it is necessary to resume an atmosphere of dialogue and good relations between Morocco, which is an important country in the middle east issue and Spain, which is likely to foster dialogue with the Arab world.

Regarding the political situation in the world, Zapatero argued for encouraging discourse that promotes dialogue between civilizations and eases tensions.
