Three Palestinians killed, 20 wounded by Israelis

Despite the fact that the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat gave his firm instructions to abide by observing cease- fire, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon renewed his rejection to halt the war and the aggressive acts against the Palestinians. Three Palestinians were killed and 20 wounded by the Israeli bullets in the West Bank and in Gaza on Monday.
The Palestinian youth Abdul Salaam Muhammad Elayan was killed near Rafah when the Israeli soldiers opened fire at him and another Palestinian youth was strongly wounded in the same Israeli attack, while five other Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli bullets near Natsareim settlement in Gaza including two children.
In Qabatya, two Palestinian youths were wounded and in Ramullah one Palestinian police man was strongly wounded as a result of the Israeli tanks bombardment of the city.
The Israeli forces prevented a convoy of 200 lorries loaded with medical and food supplies from reaching the Palestinian authorities areas in the West Bank.
The Israeli forces also still imposing tough siege on all areas of the West Bank and Gaza and prevent the Palestinians from moving on the roads linking their cities and villages. It was stated that still there are 1,000 Palestinians who are not permitted to return back to Gaza at the Rafah crossing.
Member of the Palestinian legislative council Wajih Yaghi who is among those forbidden to enter Gaza said that among the detained people at the crossing are children and old people under the sun and this caused them great health problems.
The Palestinians retaliated to the continued Israeli aggressions by clashing with the Israeli forces in Ramullah and the surrounding of Ofer camp and near Betonia settlement.
The Palestinians also attacked an Israeli military position near Qabatya and detonated an explosive in an Israeli patrol near the said position and this resulted in wounding one Israeli soldier, while other three Israeli soldiers were wounded in Rafah when the Israeli forces tried to break into the city on Monday at dawn. Bombs were thrown at Ghoushe Katieve settlement in Gaza.
Meantime, Arafat announced that he had gave firm instructions to totally abide by the cease- fire and expressed his hope that the Israeli government will respond to the appeal for peace and to take its decision to cease fire and human rights violations.
Sharon refused to stop the war. He said that Israel will not give what he called concessions to the Palestinians, noting that the Oslo agreements were a great historical mistake and that he will take tougher measures against the Palestinians.
