Al-Assad, Saleh stressed crystallizing a united Arab position towards regional, international conditions

Talks held between President Bashar al-Assad and the Yemeni President Abdullah Saleh dealt with bilateral relations and the importance of crystallizing as united Arab position concerning regional and international developments and the need of revitalizing inter- Arab solidarity. Talks also dealt with the attempts made by Israel to invest the bloody incidents in the US to escalate its aggressive works.
Earlier in the day on Monday, President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Sanaa in a visit to the Yemeni Arab republic at the invitation of the Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
At the airport President al-Assad was welcomed by President Saleh, the vice President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the prime minister Abdul Qader Bajmal. President al- Assad was also welcomed by the chairman of the Yemeni Shoura council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani, the political advisor for the Yemeni President Dr. Abdul Karem al-Eryani, the deputies for the prime minister, the Cabinet ministers, members of the Yemeni parliament and Shoura council, the Yemeni ambassador to Syria and huge number of the Syrian community in Yemen.
Then, President al-Assad, accompanied by President Saleh headed for his residence at the Yemeni Presidential palace.
The President is accompanied by an official delegation composed of the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara and the Syrian charge de affairs in Yemen.
