The Arabs and the West

The British daily " the Times" in its Monday's issue questioned the reason behind the feeling of non- satisfaction of the Arab and Islamic world towards the Western world.

The BBC quoted the said paper as saying that the Arab achievements in the areas of sciences, medicines and engineering and other sciences are still until the present time reveal the Arab civilization and their progress, noting that the Western civilizations has flourished at the shoulders of civilizations of the Orient, but the west only celebrates its achievements and success and does not recognize other civilizations.

The British daily stressed that one of the main reasons for the discontent of the Orient towards the West is the control and colonialism practiced by the West against the Arabs and Muslims in the 19th and 20th centuries. A matter which created the feeling of humiliation among people who used to be proud and to be the masters and peoples of power and civilizations.

The paper continued that such humiliation continues to be practiced until the present time through the persistence of the west to establish a " strange" state on the historical lands of the Arabs, which is Israel, as well as to work for protecting it ( Israel) and supplying it by all means and supporting it in all what it does.
