'Secret door' unearthed during North Cairo Wall restorations

A "secret door" was unearthed during restoration of North Cairo Wall, said Gaballah Ali Gaballah, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA). Abdallah Al-Attar, Head of the Islamic Antiquities Sector, said that the tower was re-used during the days of the French Expedition of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The door is two metres high and represents part of Tower 19, which overlooks the Al-Nasr Graveyard.
