Israeli forces continue violating Lebanese airspace
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 9/14/2001

The Israeli warplanes on Thursday continued their violation to the Lebanese air space and sovereignty.

Lebanese security sources said that the Israeli warplanes flew over the areas of al-Khayyam, Shebaa, al-Arqoub in South Lebanon and were intercepted by the Lebanese resistance anti- aircraft missiles.

Meantime, the spokesman for the UNIFIL ( UN forces working in South Lebanon) Timor Goksil said that the Israeli forces placed obstacles before any movement for the UN forces between Lebanon and Israel. In a statement Goksil said that the Israeli obstacles are represented in defining the crossing operations from the Lebanese border point in al-Naqoura. He indicated that the Israeli forces permitted limited number of UNIFIL employees from crossing al-Naqoura. He continued that these Israeli measures have been continued since three days and contacts are being made to eliminate these obstacles.
