Syrian defense minister confers with UN observer general

Syrian deputy commander in chief of the army and armed forces, deputy premier and defense minister lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass on Wednesday in Damascus received the commander of the UN Disengagement Force at the UN. Gen. Uranko. Present at the meeting was the chairman of the Syrian delegation to the truce committee.

Discussions dealt with the UN disengagement Force in the Golan (UNDOF) and means of facilitating the role of UNDOF and its due tasks.

The army chief of staff lt. Gen. Ali Aslaan also received Gen. Uranko and discussions centered on missions carried out by UNDOF.
