'Deir Ezz Zour Gas' is under production

The Syrian minister of oil and mineral resources Muhammad maher Jammal has announced putting into production the Dair Ezz Zour Gas project, 6 months earlier to time of contract completion.
The minister said on Wednesday that expenditures saved estimated at USD 30 million as the project's estimated cost was USD 430 million while the real cost did not exceed USD400 million.
The minister indicated that the aim of the project is to collect and invest bi- product gas which is burnt on flames at the oil collecting stations by al-Furat and Deir ezz zour oil stations and then re-cycling gas at al-Tabeyah field with the aim to increase its production, noting that the project to re-cycling the gas is expected to start by the end of the current month, September.
Dr. Jamal explained that a station is being built to receive and ship house- gas by railways tanks of a capacity of 1000 tons per day.
He also stressed that some 32,000 barrels of liquid intensive materials will be produced and pumped with the produced oil from al-Azbeh field which belong to al-Furat company and then to be exported via the line of the Syrian company on oil transport.
The minister indicated that during the implementation of the said project some 45 Syrian engineers were trained to carry out various works at all levels, while many others under currently trained to implement the project.
