Some 11 Palestinians killed, more 100 wounded in a new Israeli massacre in Jenin

Some 11 Palestinians were killed and more 100 wounded and Palestinian houses and headquarters for the Palestinian Authority were destroyed when Israeli tanks broke into the city of Jenin in the West Bank on Wednesday morning.

Palestinian security sources said that the Israeli warplanes bombarded by missiles on Wednesday the headquarters of the Palestinian police in Jenin which witnessed strong confrontation between the forces which broke into the city from several axes and the Palestinian citizens, while the Israeli forces opened fire at a Palestinian sedan car at al-Matahin ( mills) cross- roads in al-Qarrara town and this resulted in killing one Palestinian youth and wounding of many others.

Meantime, an explosive went off on the road leading from occupied Jerusalem to Hebron.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested in Jerusalem member of the Palestinian legislative council Hashem al-Zagheir who is the chairman of the chamber of commerce in the city under the pretext of his violation of the Israeli closure measures.

The Palestinian authority held the Israeli government responsible for the escalation and the continued aggressions against the Palestinian people, considering what had taken place in Jenin as a new massacre.

Meanwhile, the founder of the Hamas movement Sheikh Ahmad Yassin underlined the importance of continuing the Intifada until all occupied Palestinian territories are liberated. He added that resistance against occupation is a legitimate right, ensured by all international laws, charters and divine rules. He continued that Israel does not want peace, rather repressing the Palestinians, expand the settlements and displacing the Palestinians, noting that there is no one in " Israel" who wants peace with the Arabs and therefore there is no use of any possible Palestinian- Israeli meeting.
