Arab Gulf oil producing countries continue exports to the USA
Gulf-USA, Politics, 9/13/2001
Arab and Gulf sources specialized in oil industry announced that oil exports from Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait, the largest oil exporters to the USA in the Gulf region, normally flowed on Wednesday following the attacks in New Work and Washington on Tuesday.
News reports quoted one source as saying that work continues as usual and if the USA will need more oil " we are ready to provide it with more amounts." A western source in Saudi Arabia said that the shipment program was not affected at all at the oil exporting ports.
Moreover, an Iraqi oil official stressed that the exports in the course of the "oil for food" program continue as usual.
Worthy mentioning that the three said countries export altogether some 3 million barrels of oil per day to the US, the largest oil consumer in the world.
