Royal visit to Mauritania: intensive activities tuesday

Morocco's King Mohammed VI, who is currently paying an official visit to Mauritania, hosted Tuesday evening a dinner in honor of President Mouaouiya Ould sid' Ahmed Tayaa.
Earlier in the day, the sovereign had received separately Mauritanian Premier and national education minister, Cheikh El Afia Ould Mohamed Khouna, and the speakers of the Mauritanian Senate and National assembly, Dieng Boubou Farba and Cheikh Sid Ahmed Ould Baba.
In separate statements to the media, these Mauritanian officials underlined the importance of the sovereign's official visit to Mauritania that will give momentum to the brotherly ties and cooperation relations existing between the two countries.
Early in the evening, King Mohammed VI decorated several Mauritanian personalities and members of the Moroccan community settled in Mauritania for their efforts in the social, intellectual, educational and economic realms.
Chairman of the Mauritanian Islamic supreme council, Mohamed salem Ould Adoud, and chairman of the league of Mauritania's Ulemas (theologians), Hamdane Ould Tah, were among the personalities decorated by the sovereign.
