Saudi army chief cancels visit to Washington

The Saudi army chief of staff Lt. Gen. Saleh al-Mahya who was due during this month to pay a visit to the USA to make discussions relating to military cooperation between the two countries, has canceled his visit.
A Western diplomatic source in al-Riyadh asked not to be identified said that canceling the visit came as an expression of Saudi Arabia regret to the US policy towards " the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people," and this measure falls in the course of the position of Saudi Arabia which has repeatedly stressed the need of US pressuring stances to make Israel halt " the aggressions on the Palestinian people."
