Moussa condemns describing Palestinian resistance as violence
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 9/11/2001

Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa condemned late Monday describing Palestinian resistance as acts of violence. In statements yesterday Moussa deemed such description very dangerous.

"We do not view what the Palestinians are doing as violence but rather resistance and reaction to the Israeli practices," said Moussa.

International legitimacy resolutions should be enforced to help reach a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, he added.

"The current situation does not require immediate and urgent resolutions but rather an Arab preparation for the worst political scenario," Moussa said.

On coordination between Arabs in the near future, the Arab League Chief said Arabs would meet in New York on September 25 ahead of their meetings with the various UN groups, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and European parties on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings.
