Ebeid opens today Euromoney conference

Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid opens today the biggest annual economic, financial and investment gathering in Cairo, organized by world Euromoney institution.
Some 1,600 officials, businessmen, investors and economists from Arab countries, the European Union (EU) and the United States will take part in the gathering.
Economic sources told MENA that convening of this conference in this very timing, opens more vistas before attracting foreign investments in several economic sectors in Egypt, noting it will focus on reviewing the ample investment opportunities in Egypt and the-Arab area.
The sources also considered the Euromoney as a chance for all Egyptian economic and government circles to showcase advance for all Egyptian advantages enjoyed by Egypt like its geographic location, cheap and trained manpower, wide market and political and security stability.
The two-day get-together will also deal with a host of other issues like economic conditions in Arab countries, socio-economic challenges, globalization and world economic blocs.
Official sources at Euromoney said that the maiden session of the conference will be devoted to discussions on the economic policies to be adopted by Arab countries next year.
The conference will tackle opportunities before Arab countries to attract investments in the infrastructure fields and funding of next year's projects, according to the sources.
