On lifting the sanctions from Sudan

The chairman of the UN Security Council John David has announced that the council will be meeting on September 17 to discuss the possibility of lifting the sanctions imposed on Sudan, In statements to Saw America ( Voice of America) radio, he added that the UN security council may approve a legislation provides for lifting the sanctions imposed on Sudan, but he warned that an approval is not guaranteed.
He revealed that the governments of the US and Sudan have encouraged him to set a date to convene the meeting on Sudan.
