Al-Assad issues two decrees and discusses bilateral issues with Butrous

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday received former Lebanese prime minister Fuad Butrous.
Talks dealt with issues of concern to the two countries, Syria and Lebanon.
On the other hand, the Syrian President issued the legislative decree no. 45 for 2001 provides for the ratification of the long-term trade agreement signed between Syria and the Czech.
The President also issued the legislative decree no. 46 for 2001 which states Syria's consent to joint the sea transport of commodities, according Hamburg rules. The decree also explained that joining this agreement does not mean at any rate recognition of Israel, nor joining it in any of the deals organized according to the rules of the said agreement.
