Goodwill games: Morocco's Brahim Boulami takes gold in 3000m steeplechase

Morocco's Brahim Boulami took gold in the men's 3000 meters steeplechase, stopping the clock at 8:17.73.
Boulami was 22 seconds outside the world record he set less than a fortnight ago, at the Brussels meet (7:55.28).
He was followed by Kenyans Reuben Kosgei and Stephen Cherono.
In the women's 400 m hurdles, the world champion, Morocco's Nezha Bidouane, ranked fifth with a timing of 56.10.
The race was won by Ukrainian Tatiana Tereschuk (54.47). She was followed by American Tony Bafor Bailey (54.75) and Russian Yulia Nosova (55.27).
