Hussein's cousin refused to meet with the Iraqi ambassador in Amman

Sources close to Alaa Abdul Qader Suleiman al-Majeed, the cousin of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and his former escort, seeking asylum in an Arab state, said that he refused to meet on Tuesday morning with the Iraqi ambassador in Amman Sabah Yassin who ( Yassin ) asked to make discussions with.
One of al-Majeed's companions said that he ( al-Majeed ) at the beginning agreed to meet the request of the ambassador to meeting with him to find a solution for his problem decided by the end no to meet with the ambassador. The source gave no mention to reasons behind changing his position.
Eye-witnesses for their part said that the Iraqi ambassador " tried twice to meet with al-Majeed in the hotel where he resides in Amman but could not." On Monday, the cousin of the Iraqi President said that he is searching for an Arab country that ensures political asylum for him, and this was following differences between him and the Iraqi regime, he abstained from clarifying them.
