Lahoud gets a message from King Fahd, crown prince Abdullah

The Lebanese President Emil Lahoud informed the Saudi foreign minister Lebanon's support to the efforts made by Saudi Arabia in order to crystallize the Arab support for the Palestinians and to lift the repressions imposed on them.
During his meeting on Wednesday with the Saudi foreign minister prince Saud al-Faisal, in the presence of the foreign minister Mahmoud hammoud, President Lahoud stressed Lebanon's support to the Palestinian Intifada in the face of the Israeli aggressions.
The Lebanese President indicated "Arab dismemberment and the unclear unified stand towards the events, all encourage Israel to continue its racism and aggressions."
The Lebanese President also stressed Lebanon's clinging to the Madrid's terms of reference and the need of implementing UN resolutions concerned.
The Saudi foreign minister, on the other hand, conveyed a verbal message from the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz and the crown Prince Abdullah dealing with Saudi Arabia position towards current developments in the region especially on the Palestinian arena.
Minister al-Faisal explained that his visit to Lebanon falls in the course of consultations among the Arab leaders concerning events taking place in the region especially on the Palestinian arena.
Following the meeting with Lahoud al-Faisal said hat view points were identical between the Lebanese and the Saudi sides in analyzing matters and steps should be taken among the Arab states to re-set the track into the right path among the Arab states and to preserve Arab's honor and dignity.
Replying to a question on the appropriate Saudi proposals to deal with the grave conditions in the region, al-Faisal said that his tour aimed a making consultation concerning current conditions, noting the views he learnt from the Arab leaders he had met that he will convey to the Saudi King and the crown prince.
Replying to another question on matters that necessitate his tour, al-Faisal said:" we see that matters are proceeding from the worse to the worst and the Israeli terrorism conducted not all against the innocent Palestinians but also against the Palestinian economy."
Al-Faisal indicated that discussions dealt with all threats and consequences impeded by Israel on the Arab homeland.
Upon his arrival on Tuesday evening in Beirut, al-Faisal met with the Lebanese foreign minister Rafik al-Hariri in the presence of the foreign minister Mahmoud Hamoud and discussions dealt with the situation in the region in light of recent developments.
In Amman where the Saudi foreign minister arrived and left on Wednesday following his meeting with King Abdullah, al-Faisal said " It is time now hat the US administration should shoulder its responsibilities to halt the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people," stressing that the Arabs have been so patient concerning these aggressions.
