Intensive re-deployment of the Israeli army in the West Bank, Gaza

The Israeli forces bombarded by ground- to ground missiles on Wednesday to the Palestinian security in Beit Hanoun to the north of Gaza. This resulted in heavy casualties and damages in a neighboring position for the Palestinian police. Amid Israeli fears of new Palestinian attacks and continued escalation of the activities of the Palestinian Intifada, the Israeli forces brought in large military units to back the police units in Jerusalem.

The spokesman for the Israeli police Kobi Zreihan said that the Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aleazer gave his orders to deploy more than 1000 soldiers in Jerusalem following the recent " suicide operations," while it was announced that the Israeli army intends to annex new parts of Jerusalem and in the West Bank and to declare them closed military zones with the aim to prevent the Palestinians moving inside it.

The sources said that the Israeli army will implement a plan debated at the mini Israeli cabinet meeting just two months before and stated to cordon the areas situated within the green line by a military belt separating between Jerusalem and areas of the West Bank.

According to the said new plan, the Israeli army adopted several steps among which fostering its forces at the entrances of Jerusalem, while the Israeli radio quoted sources as saying that Palestinian organizations are seeking at the meantime to carry out " suicide operations " in Jerusalem, in particular.

Near " Sova " crossing to the south of Gaza, the Israeli forces found two large explosives while the Israeli forces arrested 8 Palestinian youths in areas situated near to the so called the green light.
