Liverpool Univ. archeological mission in Marsa Matrouh

An archeological mission of Liverpool University is now visiting Marsa Matrouh goverotrate for excavations in Oum el-Rakham area.
Director of Marsa Matrouh monuments, Al-Saeid youssef al-Saeid said that the mission consists of 12 scientists in various specializations.
The mission will excavate the found discovered last year that belonged to the commander Betara'a who was in charge of defending the western area at the time of king Ramsis II.
The mission will also carry out the restoration works of that commander's temple and complete the discoveries in the area in cooperation with the ministry of culture and the Supreme council of Antiquities.
These works are expected to last for two months.
