Israeli claims refuted
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 9/4/2001
An Egyptian official source denied as untrue what Israeli Hazzofieh newspaper reported that the expected Arafat-Peres meeting would be held under the sponsorship of President Mubarak. What the Israeli newspaper claimed that there were contacts between a number of Arab leaders for boycotting Arafat is totally false, the source added.
Moreover, the source stressed that this news is bare of any truth, describing it as a part of the lies and faked stories Israeli news sources used to propagate with a view to creating a state of confusion as well as aborting any attempt for resuming the peace process.
