Kuwaiti- Bahraini talks

The ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah on Monday received Bahrain's foreign minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak and members of the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of visiting Kuwait.

Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the first Kuwaiti deputy premier and the foreign minister also met with Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifah and during the meeting the two sides discussed means of consolidating bilateral relations and reviewed all issues of mutual concern and latest developments at the Arab and international levels.

The two sides also signed an agreement provided for the establishment of a joint higher committee and the consulate and diplomatic co-operation agreement between Kuwait and Bahrain. It was signed on the Kuwaiti side by Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and the Bahraini side was by Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khaleifah.

Later in the day, the Kuwaiti crown prince and prime minister Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah al-Sabah received Muhammad Bin Mubarak and members of the accompanying delegation.
