Qaddafi confers with Italian foreign minister

Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi on Monday discussed with the Italian foreign minister and members of the accompanying delegation means of strengthening relations between the two countries and the care to implement the joint Italian- Libyan declaration signed in Rome in 1998.
The Italian minister underlined the importance of the role played by Libya in the African federation in its being a bridge linking Europe to Africa.
