Al-Baz denies visiting Israel secretly

An official Egyptian source has stressed that:" Dr. Osama al-Baz, the political advisor for the Egyptian President did not pay a visit to Israel nor met with the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon."
In a statement, issued by the Egyptian daily al-Akhbar on Monday, according to the Israeli daily Haartez that al-Baz had paid a secret visit to Israel to discuss arrangements for the meeting between the Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres with the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat.
