On Sudanese- American relations

The Sudanese minister of information and communications Mahdi Ibrahim has described the results of the visit of the US Congress John Kokas to Sudan as positive and is promising of a better phase in the march of relations between Washington and Khartoum.

In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Sahafah issued on Saturday, Ibrahim said that the US administration supports ending conflicts between the Sudanese warring sides and to establish peace in Sudan.

On the other hand, a plane for the world food program has transported 8,000 tons of the American humanitarian aids for the first time from the north Kurdfan province to Karkar province which is controlled by the rebellions.

The humanitarian affairs commissioner Sulaf eddine Saleh considered the American aids is an important development and the beginning of bilateral cooperation between the US and Sudan.
