Palestinian official assassinated by Israelis

Palestinian Lt. Gen. Taysir Khattab was killed on Friday by blowing off the car which was carrying him in Gaza and his escort was strongly wounded in this operation.
Palestinian security and medical sources said that the explosion which resulted in killing Lt. Gen. Hattab was a result of an explosive implanted in the car of the late Palestinian army official in Ibad al-Rahman quarters to the north of Gaza and resulted in wounding his guard Ahmad Galoun.
The chairman of the Palestinian preventive security forces Tawfiq al-Terawi said that the Israeli forces was behind the assassination operation which falls in the context of liquidating the Palestinian leadership.
