High-level Egyptian delegation to participate in Libya's celebrations

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak sent a high-level official delegation to Tripoli to participate in Libya's celebrations marking the 32nd anniversary of the September 1 Revolution.
The delegation includes Minister of Defense Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, Minister of Information Safwat El-Sherif and a host of top armed forces brass.
The high-powered delegation left for Tripoli on Friday afternoon. Sherif said the delegation is carrying a message from President Mubarak to Leader of the Libyan Revolution Col. Muammar Al-Gaddafi.
"The message covers, besides good wishes to the Libyan leader and people, a number of political issues of mutual interest," he added.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi said late Friday that he would visit Egypt in October at an invitation from President Hosni Mubarak.
In statements following his meeting with the visiting Egyptian delegation late Friday, Gaddafi described Egyptian Libyan ties as perfect.
He asserted that his relationship with Mubarak has always been friendly and serving interests of both countries.
He voiced hope that Egypt and Libya would become one country without gates on borders.
Queried about Sudan, Gaddafi said Egypt, Libya and also Sudan are "one area".
He added that a full integration should be realized between the three countries.
Asked about the Egyptian-Libyan initiative on reconciliation in Sudan, Gaddafi voiced belief that if the Sudanese of the south still seek separation, it will not serve their own interests.
"The separation would also affect the African continent as a whole," according to Gaddafi.
Asked about the African-Arab dialogue, Gaddafi said that two-thirds of Arab countries are in Africa and we want the rest of Arab states to join the African Union.
Commenting on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, Gaddafi said that it was a natural outcome of previous concessions.
"But time will serve Palestinians," he added. Earlier in the day, Egyptian Defense and Military Production Minister Field Marshal Mohammad Hussein Tantawi, Information Minister Safwat El-Sherif and their accompanying delegation arrived in Tripoli to attend the 32nd anniversary of the September 1 Revolution celebrations.
Moreover, Gaddafi, Egypt's Defense and Military production Minister Field Marshal Mohammad Hussein Tantawi and Information Minister Safwat Al-Sherif witnessed late Friday the military parade which marked the start of the celebrations of the 32nd anniversary of the September 1 Revolution.
