'Abu Laila' escapes an Israeli assassination attempt, confrontations continue

The second official in the Democratic Front For the Liberation of Palestine Qeis Abdul Karim, better known as " Abu Laila" on Friday escaped an assassination attempt in Ramullah after his house was bombarded by intensive missiles from Israeli helicopters.
Meantime, One Palestinian teenager was killed and 9 wounded, three of them in critical conditions, during the confrontations which took place in Rafah following the Israeli aggression against the secure houses in Yabna camp, al-Brazil quarters and the incursion of the Israeli tanks for hundreds of meters in the territories that fall under the control of the Palestinian authorities in the surrounding of the city.
News reports said that Israeli forces destroyed five houses and two positions for the Palestinian Authority and that two Palestinian policemen were strongly wounded by the Israeli bullets, while the Israeli bulldozers continued to destroy agricultural crops along the border strip with Egypt.
Thousands of Palestinians held a funeral for the Palestinian policeman Sami Baroud, who was killed by the Israeli forces during their aggression against al-Sheikh Ajleen area in Gaza and slogans were chanted to revenge Israel for his killing and vowed to continue the Intifada.
Strong confrontation took place in Hebron and one fatal bullet hit one Palestinian teenager in his chest after Friday's prayers. The Israeli forces arrested three Palestinian youths, while the citizens of the city were holding a funeral of another Palestinian Mousa Qdeimat.
In Jerusalem, the Israeli forces claimed its had foiled an armed attack that would have been carried out by the Palestinian Intifada youth in Beit Hanania and two of them escaped and the third was wounded.
