Tennis: Morocco's Hicham Arazi cruises to third round of US Open

Moroccan tennis player Hicham Arazi (28) cruised Thursday to the third round of the 2001 U.S. Open after a win over American Chris Woodruff in three sets 6-4, 7-6 (7/1), 7-5.
Arazi will play in the third round defending champion Marat Safin, Russia, who ousted Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic in the second round.
In the first round Arazi had defeated Agustin Calleri, Argentina, in five sets (6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 5-7, 6-3).
