Al-Hariri in Damascus today to meet with President al-Assad

The Lebanese prime minister Rafik al-Hariri will head today for Damascus to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad just two weeks from their last meeting. The meeting aims at making consultations on latest developments on the Lebanese and regional arenas.

It is expected that al-Hariri will brief al-Assad on results of his recent meeting with the French President Jacques Chirac as well as results of contacts took part on the internal Lebanese arena to ease down matters.

The visit of the Lebanese Premier to Damascus comes in comfortable atmospheres raised during the meeting held between President Emil lahoud and al-Hariri on Tuesday evening.

On Wednesday words of understanding, cooperation and consultation were used on the Lebanese political arena instead of differences and accusations used to be prevailed during past weeks.
