Increased Jordanian- Iraqi cooperation

Iraq and Jordan have signed a protocol provided for the increase of their economic and trade relations and the increase in exchange rate which is estimated at more than USD one billion, according to the Jordanian minister of industry and trade wasef Azer.
The Iraqi news agency said that the Iraqi trade minister Muhammad Mahdi Saleh and his Jordanian counterpart Wasef Azer signed a minute of meeting including activities to revitalize trade and economic relations and the increase of commercial exchange between the two countries,. The Minutes of meeting also states to coordinate cooperation in the framework of agreements signed between the two countries and following up works of the Iraqi- Jordanian committee.
The Iraqi news agency quoted Saleh as saying said that relations between the two countries are proceeding in accelerated strides in all fields especially in the trade and the economic fields.
The two sides agreed to increase Iraq's imports via al-Aqaba port to be one million ton and discussed the possibility of erecting the Iraqi- Jordanian oil pipelines to this port.
