Floods in Mauritania

A Humanitarian source announced that the relief departments are preparing to provide aids for almost 3000 inhabitants of Ojojot, 250 Km to the northern East of Nouakchott, victims of floods resulted from heavy rainfall.
News reports said that the state-run foodstuffs security commission and several non-governmental organizations transported to the place foodstuffs, medicines and blankets.
The ruler of the area said that the floods which took place on August 24 night resulted in destroying more than 100 houses and killing large part of cattle in the farms.
