A large funeral for Abu Ali Mustafa, three Palestinians killed,51 wounded, 38 houses destroyed
Tens of thousands of Palestinians on Tuesday took part in the funeral of Abu Ali Mustafa, the secretary general of the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine at a time when two palestinians were killed and 51 wounded and more than 38 houses were completely destroyed by the Israeli fires.

The Jordanian weekly al-Hilal ( the Crescent) said in its recent issue published Tuesday that the date set for the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to Damascus which is September 12 is the same date when the Oslo agreement was signed. The agreement which is one of the stations of deteriorated Syrian- Palestinian relations. In a report from Damascus, the paper said that Arafat's visit to Damascus bears in itself a special meaning to erase the date of signing Oslo from the Syrian political memory and to replace it by a new date.

An Israeli source in Jerusalem said on Tuesday that the Israeli forces were put in a state of utmost alert and a series of security measures were taken. But the source did not disclose these measures, according to the Israeli radio.
