Tennis: Morocco's Hicham Arazi Cruises to Second Round of US Open

Morocco's Hicham Arazi (28) cruised Tuesday to the second round of the 2001 US Open, after a win over Agustin Calleri, Argentina, in five sets (6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 5-7, 6-3).
His countryman Younes El Aynaoui was not so lucky as he was defeated in the first round by Greg Rusedski, Britain (30), in four sets (6-7 (4/7), 7-5, 6-4, 6-3).
Karim Alami, the other Moroccan participating in the Open, which began Monday in Flushing Meadow, New York, was also ousted at the first round Monday by Taylor Dent, United States.
Alami was defeated in three sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
