Israeli embassies in a state of alert
Israel, Politics, 8/29/2001
An Israeli source in Jerusalem said on Tuesday that the Israeli forces were put in a state of utmost alert and a series of security measures were taken. But the source did not disclose these measures, according to the Israeli radio. The radio said that the Israeli foreign ministry instructed its embassies abroad to be aware and to tighten security and guarding measures against expected attacks by the Palestinians, following the assassination of the secretary general of the people's front for the liberation of Palestine Abu Ali Mustafa.
