EU condemns Israeli assassinations of Palestinian activists

The European Union condemned Monday all Israeli assassinations of Palestinian activists and described as very grave the pre-meditated murder of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Secretary-General Abu Ali Mustafa.
In an urgent statement by the Belgian presidency, the EU vocalized deep concern over continuation of acts of violence in the Middle East, stressing that political dialogue is the only way to end bloodshed and thrash out a satisfactory solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
The EU called anew on the parties concerned to put an end to Middle East violence and counter-violence by immediately giving a chance for the implementation of the Mitchell peace plan.
