Egyptian members of parliament threaten companies dealing with Israel
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 8/28/2001

In the framework of the escalated wave to maintain normalization with Israel, several members of the Egyptian parliament threatened the private investment companies which have trade relations with Israeli companies to launch a campaign to boycott its products in the Egyptian market.

The parliamentarians extended an ultimate warning to these companies through official and people's channels through a memorandum they decided to send to the officials in the government and the People's Assembly against any private sector company or public sector proved to have dealt with Israel.

The member of parliament indicated the need of declaring a black list containing names of the companies proved to be dealing with Israel to ban dealing with it and depriving these companies immediately from all investment privileges.
