The 48th Damascus International fair opens today

Under the patronage of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad the 48th Damascus International Fair will open today. It is organized by the Syrian ministry of the economy and foreign trade- the general establishment for Fairs an international markets at the theatre of the Fair's city.

However, number of countries taking part in the Fair reached 32, 120 foreign companies and 217 private and local companies.

On the sideline of the exhibition, the second economic forum will be opened on September 1st at 10 a.m. ( local time) under the chairmanship of the minister of the economy and foreign trade Dr. Muhammad al-Imadi.

The said forum will deal with several issues on promoting human resources, restructuring establishments, the common Arab market, the free trade Arab agreements; the structure of the Syrian foreign trade, means of reactivating exports and the new role of the economic media in the coming phase.
