Israel strikes by F16, Apatche West Bank, Gaza

The Israeli planes and tanks on Sunday carried out new aggressions against Rafah, Gaza and Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, al-Khalil, al-Beira and Toulkarme and one Palestinian was killed as a result and 29 wounded. Several houses were destroyed besides four centers for the Palestinian Authority.

News reports said that Rafah was exposed to a comprehensive attack from various directions and the Israeli forces incurred 1500 meters while the bulldozers were destroying the agricultural crops and install barriers to tighten the military siege on the city.

News reports also indicated strong confrontation followed by the Israeli breaking in into the city and the citizens hurried to defend the city as they heard calls from loudspeakers in the mosques and then the Israeli forces retreated to the outskirts of the city.

The palestinian Ala' Abu Baker, member of the Palestinian national security was killed and some 18 youths were wounded in the clashes by he Israeli bullets.

Palestinian sources said the Israeli F16 and Apatche planes and tanks bombarded two headquarters for the Palestinian police in Gaza and one headquarter in Deir al-Balah and several positions and buildings in Khan Younis and Rafah and this resulted in wounding three members of the Palestinian police and large material losses.

Al-Shallalah quarters in Hebron was exposed to an Israeli bombardment and this resulted in destroying several houses and wounding 6 citizens.

The Israeli forces tightened the military siege measures and closure at the village of Azoun and Hebron and carried out a campaign of arrest targeted four Palestinians in Jaljolia village.

News reports said that the Palestinians challenged the Israeli aggressions more steadfast and the Palestinian Intifada teenagers threw tens of bombs at the Israeli positions and settlements.

The Israeli radio admitted the wounding of two Israeli soldiers and one settler was killed in an attack carried out by a Palestinian in Magal settlement in Jerusalem while other Palestinians detonated explosives in the surrounding of the settlement quarters in Hebron.

In a later development the Israeli forces bombarded a position for the Palestinian authority in al-Beera and this resulted in wounding four Palestinians. Then the Apatchi helicopter rocketed several Palestinian areas in Toulkarem on Sunday evening.

Meantime, the Israeli committee formed by the Israeli army, started investigations to disclose conditions about the suicide operation which resulted on Saturday in killing three Israeli soldiers and wounding seven and how the two Palestinians could have access to an Israeli military position which is presumed to be fortified.

At the Palestinian level, Hannan Ashrawi stressed that the US President is biased totally to Israel and is repeating the Israeli view point like a parrot. She added that Bush acts like a media spokesman for Ariel Sharon, besides his statements are but a flagrant support for the Israeli crimes. She continued that the Palestinians do not expect fairness and morals from the US administration regarding their cause, but at least expect minimum commitment to the international law and humanitarian value.

Member of the central committee of the Fatah movement Hani al-Hassan said that the US only interferes for the interests of Israel.

The Palestinian Authority, on the other hand, destroyed the load of three cars carrying Israeli products and commodities in al-Beera in implementation of its decision to prevent the entry of any Israeli products to the Palestinian markets.
