Sudanese President got Nigerian message

President Muhammad Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan on Friday evening received a message from the Nigerian President Daniel Abu Sango conveyed to him through the special envoy Othman Mokaji who arrived in Khartoum on Thursday.
The message pertains to the Nigerian efforts to establish peace in Sudan and to halt the war as well as to convene a conference in Abuja for the southern Sudan leadership during November in order to push forward peace efforts in the country.
The minister of state at the Sudanese peace consulate Dio Mattouk told the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am in a statement on Saturday that President al-Bashir welcomed the Nigerian efforts and stressed the satisfaction of the Sudanese government to the efforts made by President Abu Sango aiming at establishing peace in Sudan on the ground that Nigeria is capable for playing a positive role to halt the war.
