Gulf foreign ministers to meet in Jeddah

The foreign ministers of the six member states of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) will hold the meetings of their 81st session on September 7th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Gulf diplomatic sources said in al-Riyadh that the meeting will discuss a collective GCC move at the major states to urge them to pressure Israel to halt its brutal aggression against the Palestinian people as well as to ensure international forces to protect the Palestinians.

The sources explained that the ministers will also discuss several common economic issues especially accelerating the steps to maintain the common customs tariff, world oil market, and economic relations with the international blocs.

Worthy mentioning that the foreign ministers of the six GCC member states who hold four periodical meetings every year had held a special meeting on July 11 in Jeddah, at the request of of Saudi Arabia to discuss the situation in the Palestinian territories.
