Egyptian exports to US market up by 21.9%

Egyptian exports to the American market during the first half of 2001 upped to $ 512.3 million compared to $ 420.3 million during the same period of last year.

This was confirmed by a report Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Youssef Ghali received Friday from the Egyptian Trade Representation Office in Washington.

According to the report, the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the US scaled up during the first half of 2001 to around $ 2.141 billion compared to around $ 2.139 billion during the same period of last year.

Ghali had received an invitation from the US Department of Commerce to participate in a two-day American-African seminar, due in Washington on October 4.
