Zionism and Racism
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 8/25/2001

The Egyptian ambassador to South Africa Ms. Naela Jaber has announced that there are numerous ideas concerning discussions relating to the issue of holding Zionism equal to racism during the UN third anti- racism conference which will be held in Durban, South Africa on August 31st and will last for one week.

She explained in a radio statement in Cairo on Friday that the current trend at the meantime is to seek condemning the Israeli practices against human rights, which, simultaneously has the characteristics of racism.

She added that Egypt will take part in the conference by a large delegation led by the foreign minister and will be attended by diplomats, parliament members and members of the Egyptian non- governmental organizations.
